MDBNL SERVICES

The Malawi Digital Broadcast Network Limited (MDBNL) is a public entity mandated to provide signal distribution services to all licensed content providers (broadcasters).

MDBNL was registered under companies Act on 20th February, 2014 but officially started its operations on 1st July, 2015. It is licensed by the Malawi Communications Regulatory Authority (MACRA) to operate a digital broadcasting network in accordance with Communications Act.

Multiplexing and Signal Distribution

• MDBNL packages content from Content Service Providers (CSPs) into appropriate bouquet(s)
• Operates and maintains digital broadcasting network through which content is distributed and delivered to consumers.

Technical Support

We identify , anticipate and satisfy the needs of our customers by providing technical support services:

• Decoder installation

• Decoder servicing and repair
• Monitoring and providing technical advice to content service provider

Customer Awareness

We conduct consumer awareness on digital migration and our products and services to bridge the knowledge gap through the following activities:

• Road shows
• Media orientations
• Production and distribution of IEC materials
• Radio and TV programmes, jingles

• We manage and identify moments of truth with the view to achieving customer satisfaction.
