Background

The Malawi Digital Broadcast Network Limited (MDBNL) is a public entity mandated to provide content aggregation and signal distribution services; and to offer more viewing options in Malawi to ensure a reliable and efficient service delivery for a more enlightened and informed society.MDBNL was registered under Companies Act on 20th February, 2014 and started its operations on 1st July, 2015.

The Company has a Network Services License issued by the Malawi Communications Regulatory Authority (MACRA) to operate a Digital Broadcasting Network in Malawi. It also has a Broadcasting (Content) Services License which enables it to provide Subscription Broadcasting Services in Malawi.

  1. Mpingwe and Ndirande in Blantyre.
  2. Mtengowaung'ono in Thyolo.
  3. Zomba Peak in Zomba.
  4. Microwave Station in Lilongwe.
  5. Msongwe in Mzuzu.
  6. Karonga Boma in Karonga.
  7. Dowa Hill in Dowa.
  8. Chayamba in Kasungu.

The Company is Headquartered in Lilongwe; with Regional Offices in Lilongwe, Blantyre and Mzuzu.
